About the Journal
Proceedings of the Faculty of Security Studies is the official scientific and professional publication of the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade. The journal serves as a platform for publishing peer-reviewed papers, conference proceedings, and selected scholarly contributions presented at national and international scientific and professional events organized or co-organized by the Faculty.
The journal is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and applied knowledge in areas including security studies, disaster risk reduction, integrated risk management, emergency and crisis management, civil protection, critical infrastructure protection, environmental security, resilience studies, and related fields.
The Proceedings aim to bridge theoretical frameworks and operational practice by fostering dialogue among researchers, policymakers, public authorities, emergency services, private sector stakeholders, and civil society organizations. By encouraging cross-sectoral collaboration and evidence-based approaches, the journal contributes to strengthening institutional capacities and community resilience.
All submissions undergo editorial screening and peer review in accordance with internationally recognized academic publishing standards. The journal is published in electronic format through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and operates under an open-access model to ensure broad dissemination, accessibility, and long-term digital preservation.
